Special Notes: Pre-Registration is Required for this show! Please email a copy of your Registration form to June Delane ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) prior to shipping your fish (i.e. at least 3 days before the show date).

Do NOT label your boxes "Live Fish". We have had issues in the past with certain shipping companies holding boxes marked in this manner.

Show Fish: Mail-in entries need to arrive no later than 5:00 PM Friday, May 28th, 2010. CBS will need to receive your Registration form, fees and return postage (if necessary) with your fish. Return postage and entry fees cannot and will not be deducted from auction proceeds. Pre-register your fish by emailing your Registration form to June Delane. Please provide a return mailing label, empty bags and heat packs (if desired) with your fish. You may enter as many fish as you like in the show, and there are no limits to the number of show fish you can auction.

$2.00 for Single
$3.00 for Pairs

Walk Ins: All walk-in fish entries are to arrive by 5 PM Saturday, May 29, 2010. Please notify the show chair that you will be coming. Walk-in fish must be benched by entrant and bagged by the entrant after the show.

Auction Fish: Only 12 Auction Only fish will be accepted from any breeder*. Auction Only fish sent to the show must arrive by 5:00 PM Friday, May 28th, 2010 and must be listed on your entry form that is included with your fish. The fish must be marked "Auction Only" or "AO" on the bag and entry form.

Auction Only fish should include return postage, which will be refunded if unused. If return postage is not included any unsold Auction Only fish will be considered a donation to the club and will not be returned.

Unless marked, Auction and Auction Only fish are posted at a minimum bid of $3.00. Aquarium plants, dry goods (tanks, food, etc) are only accepted for walk-in (no mail-ins without approval of show chairs).

Auction Split

  • Show Fish for Auction- 75% Seller and 25% CBS
  • Auction Only and Cash Sales Table- 50% Seller and 50% CBS
  • Plants and dry goods (tanks, food, etc) 50% Seller and 50% CBS

Cash Sales: For the first time, CBS will have a Cash Sales table, open on Sunday during Show Hours. We will display bagged fish for show attendees to purchase for the price as marked on the bag. This will be in addition to the auction.

*Breeders can send as many fish as they wish for the Cash Sales table.

Please note your selling price. Please DO NOT put Cash Sales fish on your Registration Form; you may send a separate sheet noting price (please number your bags) or you may price the fish directly on the bag. Be sure to include return postage for unsold Cash Sales table fish; any unused portion will be refunded. If return postage is not included, the fish will be considered donations to the club and not returned. Minimum price for Cash Sales- $1.

Show Results: NO results will be given over the phone. They will be posted no later than Monday evening, with the intention of posting more quickly if feasible.

J-Board News

It is the opinion of the Judging Board that the use of descriptive names that do not relate any beneficial genetic information regarding a specific Betta is detrimental to the hobby and might be construed as misleading.

The purpose of this program is to encourage anyone new to breeding Betta to show fish they have bred. This program is open to new IBC members and Non-IBC members who have never placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in any regular IBC show class in an International or Convention Show.
