Registration Fees: $ 2.00 per single fish entry, $ 3.00 per pair entry

Registration fees should be made payable to: GA Betta Breeders Association (GABBA) and mailed with your fish and registration to Ruth Masciarelli, 300 Main Street W., Marshallville, GA 31057, or paid via PayPal. A donation of $ .50 to help pay for the PayPal fees would be appreciated. Any fish without a matching registration fee payment will not be judged.

Pre-Registration: Pre-Registration is required for all fish entries by Wednesday, April 28th, e-mailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or mailed to Dick Houston, 1849 Service Drive NE, Marietta, GA 30066-1917. This includes any fish to be walk in entries on Saturday morning. Walk in entries must be benched by 9:00am Saturday. If you know your auction only fish, please include it on your pre-registration as well.

Shipping Fish: Fish should be shipped to arrive by 5:00pm on Thursday, April 29th to:

A copy of your registration form, registration fee check (or copy of PayPal receipt), return postage, return mailing label and empty bags should accompany your fish. Return postage can not be deducted from auction proceeds.

Auction Fish: Auction fish have the same shipping deadline as show fish and are to be included on your registration form. Fish must be marked as Auction or Auction only fish. Auction Only fish should include return postage, which will be refunded if unused. If return postage is not included the fish will be considered as a donation to the club and will not be returned. Auction fish not sold will be returned to entrant (provided return shipping was included) unless otherwise specified. Auction only fish can be shipped with your show fish.

Unless marked otherwise, Auction and Auction Only fish will start with a minimum bid of $3.00. Live auction is for Bettas only. Aquarium plants, dry goods, etc. will be placed on silent auction/sale table.

Auction Split: Show Fish Auction - 75% Seller and 25% GABBA

Auction Only Fish - 50% Seller and 50% GABBA

Silent Auction Items - 50% Seller and 50% GABBA

Awards: Awards (ribbons and certificates) will be given for Best of Show, Best of Variety and places 1 through 3. Club awards will be awarded to Reserve Best of Show, Peoples Choice, Most Entries, Most Placings, Most Auction Fish, Highest Sale Auction Fish and Farthest Distance Entry.

SHOW SCHEDULE:

Wednesday: April 28 - Pre-Registration of all show entries due (including walk in entries being delivered by hand on Saturday).

Thursday: April 29- 5:00pm - All mailed entry fish to have arrived.

Friday: April 30- 2:30pm - Start Show setup

Saturday: May 1- 7:30am - Show Room Opens

9:00am - Walk In entries deadline

9:30am - Judging Starts

12:00pm - Lunch break (hopefully)

1:00pm - Advertised public viewing

3:30pm - Show closes-begin prep for auction

5:00pm - Supper break (hopefully)

6:15pm - Awards Presentation (prior to Auction)

6:30pm - Auction start

10:00pm - Final teardown

Sunday: May 2 - Clean & Load anything left

11:00am - All are invited to attend Church @ Marshallville United Methodist Church & view Ruth's fish room following service.

Monday: May 3 - All fish being returned to be mailed.

Show results will be recorded on the ICB Website, Better Bettas and the GABBA website: http://georgiabettabreeders.com/ as soon as is reasonable.
