The IBC would like to get a pair of betta into new members hands as soon as possible, free of charge so a new member can try breeding betta. Right now it is available only in the United States. As we grow in other countries we hope to establish it everywhere. It is a volunteer program and only works as long as volunteers and their fish are available. The IBC would really like to keep this program working, so here are the guidelines.
If you feel you can abide by these guidelines, have been a member for at least 30 days and would like to apply, please login to contact the Betta Pals chair. Remember, this is a volunteer program to help new breeders get some stock and run by the breeders themselves and sometimes stock may not be available. Just joining the IBC does not guarantee you will receive fish. Weather is also a factor and in winter months shipments will be held until spring. If you are an active breeder and would like to donate extra stock, login to contact the Betta Pals chair. Your help is critical to the success of this program. Thank you. |

| It is the opinion of the Judging Board that the use of descriptive names that do not relate any beneficial genetic information regarding a specific Betta is detrimental to the hobby and might be construed as misleading. |

The purpose of this program is to encourage anyone new to breeding Betta to show fish they have bred. This program is open to new IBC members and Non-IBC members who have never placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in any regular IBC show class in an International or Convention Show. |
