At the last Orlando convention, the IBC formally
approved three new programs pertaining to IBC
research. Announcements detailing these programs
are provided below.
- The
IBC Student Research
Fellowships are intended to support the use of
Betta in the thesis research of undergraduate
and graduate students.
- The
IBC Science Fair
Prize is intended to reward middle and high
school age students who have preformed
meritorious work using Betta.
- Finally,
the Gene
Lucas Fund has been instituted to both honor
Gene and to build an endowment base that may
eventually prove sufficient to support IBC
research programs.
