Articles:
- Articles are preferred in electronic
submission using MS Word or another word
processing program, but will also be
accepted in e-mail. Send all electronic
versions of articles to
Flareeditor@ibcbettas.org.
- Photos or graphics are welcomed with
your articles and should be a Jpeg file. Please include photo/graphic
credits.
- Articles should be sent in the font
Arial 9. Please do not send articles,
whether as an attachment or in an e-mail, in
all CAPS; use both upper and lower case and
please proof for grammar and punctuation.
Committee
Reports:
- First time Committee reports can be one
page in length and explain the purpose of
the committee.
- All IBC Committees are encouraged to
submit updates. Updates should be a maximum
of ½ page.
- Updates should include any special
accomplishments and milestones of projects.
Chapter Reports:
- All Chapters are encouraged to submit
news and chapter items. Updates should be a
maximum of ½ page.
- If you have pictures, we'll be happy to
publish them too, but they need to be a Jpeg
file!
- It is a great opportunity to attract new
club members in your area.
- If you are a new chapter, we will also
highlight you in the "Welcome to the IBC"
section.
Stock Shop Ads:
- Ads will
only be accepted from IBC Members
- Ads should
not exceed 100 words.
Show
Information:
- All Show Chairs are responsible for
submitting Show Information.
- All Show Chairs are responsible for
submitting Show Results. Results are to be
submitted in the electronic format required
by the Judging Board Registrar.
- Show Ads cannot exceed ½ page in length.
The only exception is the IBC Convention
that cannot exceed one page in length.
- Show Ads should include a website link,
contact name, and contact phone number for
additional information.
- Show Ads must be sent in electronic
format.
- The IBC Judging Board is responsible for
getting Show Dates to the FLARE! editor
prior to each issue’s deadline.
Art Submission:
- Please submit your photos and drawings
for the FLARE! front and back cover or
FLARE! Art Gallery.
- Submissions are accepted in .jpg format.
- All photos and drawings must be
submitted in electronic format.
The FLARE! Editorial staff reserves the right
to edit all submissions for appropriate content,
clarity, spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.
While the submitter retains ownership, the IBC
reserves the right to use all submissions for
future publications in any medium.Send
